Safeguard Provides Technology to Private School

Tempe, Arizona - September 28, 2003

Bethany Christian School, a private school located at Price Road and Guadalupe in Tempe, AZ recently started classes in a new facility with technologies furnished by Safeguard. Following the purchase in May of a shopping center owned by Bethany Community Church, the school began the task of remodeling the facility to make way for over 200 elementary and middle school students in late August.

Safeguard Security and Communications stepped to the plate by donating and installing the campus wide security system, fire alarm system, school intercom/class change system, data network and telephone system. Supported by product donations from Safeguard vendors such as Notifier Fire Alarms, Gentex Fire Devices, Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) security and Federal Communications, a local data company, the Safeguard staff worked during the hot Arizona summer to complete the project in time for school to open.

Carolyn Steere, Bethany Christian School's principle commented that "without Safeguard's contribution and effort, the new campus likely would not have opened on time". Safeguard President, Mike Bradley stated that, "while it's not possible to provide this level of contribution to every school in need, it's nice to be in a position to help with a worthy project like Bethany". Ben Wilson, Safeguard's Vice President of Operations coordinated the installation effort, which included his own voluteer time as well as that of many of his managers.

In "2002" Safeguard played a similar role in the construction of the new fine arts complex for Xavier College Preparatory Academy in Phoenix, AZ.
