Safeguard Protects Carefree Water Supply

Carefree, AZ - January 13, 2003

Safeguard Security and Communications, Inc. was recently contracted by the City of Carefree, AZ to install and monitor security systems for several water well and water pumping stations scattered around the City. Longtime Safeguard representative Matt Moorhead stated that "Carefree officials were concerned about protecting access to the City's water supply by securing the perimeter of the sites with sophisticated and reliable security systems".

Since each site is remote and it is not possible to have 24 hour manned survelliance of each site, Carefree called on Safeguard to design and install sensitive security devices that will alert officials whenever anyone approaches a water well or pumping station.

Safeguard Applies New Private Wireless Monitoring Network
Because each site is remote, telephone lines are not available for remotely monitoring transmissions. Instead, Safeguard installed secure monitoring using their new private wireless transmission network that reports directly to Safeguard's own 24 hour monitoring facility in Scottsdale, AZ.

Ben Wilson, Safeguard's Vice President of Operations expressed confidence in the new security technologies developed for outdoor security and installed by Safeguard's trained staff.
